Welcome to Vol. 4 Number 03 of the Radio H.F. Internet Newsletter. Previous issues of this newsletter can be found at www.anarc.org/cidx/radiohf/ [right here! — Ed.].

Special note: Please take note of a few survey questions which I would appreciate having all of you respond to. There are three questions which you'll find just below this month's introduction.

March is a busy month. Everyone here in the Northern hemisphere is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring. It seems to have come quite early here in the Montreal area, where we have had an unbelievably easy winter.

March is also a busy month for special days and holidays, St. Patrick's Day, Passover, Good Friday and Easter, and beware, the Ides of March!

As in previous months, I have some special sites dedicated to upcoming holidays and events. From this point on, I'll be featuring a selection of timely sites related to special days, holidays, historical events, etc. in a special zone called The Monthly Special Zone. It will kick off the Newsletter each month, right after the Contributors' Zone. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to send along contributions for future holidays and events coming up.

Survey questions:
Contributions from subscribers have been down lately, so let's try to spark some input with a few survey questions. Please take a moment to answer these questions, by e-mail to hfnewsletter@yahoo.com. Please put "Survey answer" in the subject line of your e-mail. I'll publish the results next month.

1. Which Internet browser do you use? Internet Explorer, Netscape, or something else (please specify).

2. Which is your favourite search engine? Yahoo, Google, Excite, Copernic, or something else (please specify)

3. Of all the websites you visit, which single web site is the most important to you; the one that you could simply not live without? Please include the URL, and feel free to elaborate on why it is so important to you.

So, three questions for you. I'll compile the answers and print them in the April 2002 edition, and share my answers with you at that time as well. It should produce some very interesting results. Please, take a moment to participate.

OK, time to move on to this month's collection of web sites. Hope you enjoy them. Have a great month.

The term "Easter Egg," as it's used here, means any amusing tidbit that creators hid in their creations. They could be in computer software, movies, music, art, books, or even your watch. There are thousands of them, and they can be quite entertaining, if you know where to look. Explore this site, and you'll know exactly where to look. There are over 5,300 discovered so far.

Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache.

A scientific based endeavor to collect meaningful and unambiguous data on objects in Earth's atmosphere or our solar system which may provide evidence of visitations from intelligent probes of extraterrestrial origin. SETV is a heterotic search model, a combination of SETA (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Artifacts) and optical SETI (OSETI) / microwave SETI, which are orthodox scientific search for ETI which use electro-optical signal receivers, large radio telescopes and narrow-band multi-channel receivers.
