Introduction

Disclaimer: The content and comments included in the websites featured in this newsletter are those of the individuals, groups or organizations responsible for each website. They do not necessarily represent those of the editor, unless specifically noted.

Welcome to volume 2 number 06 of the Radio H.F. Internet Newsletter. I would also like to remind everyone that all previous issues of this newsletter can be found at www.anarc.org/cidx/radiohf/index.html [right here! -- Ed.].

I have a lot of news to relate to you this month in addition to the regular batch of interesting websites. You should have received a separate e-mail informing you of the closing of my store a few weeks ago. I continue to operate the business under the name of Radio H.F. It is simply the storefront part of the business which has been closed.

Rising overhead costs, plus a dramatic drop in business, particularly in the field of amateur radio, left me with no choice but to close up the store and relocate to my home. I continue to offer all the same brand name products as before, but the focus of the business will now turn to telephone, mail and Internet (e-mail) orders. Shipments can be arranged anywhere, by Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, or Purolator, at the clients' request.

Radio H.F. will continue to appear at numerous amateur radio fleamarkets throughout Quebec and Ontario. Listings of these events appear at the end of this newsletter each month.

There will be a new website available on-line very soon for Radio H.F. which will include product listings, pricing, and ordering information. You will all be advised as soon as the site is ready.

The telephone numbers for Radio H.F. remain the same, including the toll free number in Canada only. Only the fax number has changed. It is now the same number as the main telephone number. Of course the mailing address has changed, as have the "store hours." See The Publicity Zone -- Radio H.F. section of this newsletter (or more recent issues) for the new information.

Having your name appear on the contributors' list of this newsletter will continue to entitle you to a 2% discount on your next Radio H.F. purchase, so why not send along a website or two that you think our readers would enjoy.

The hamfest/fleamarket list in the Publicity Zone has been updated. Check for an event near you. Radio H.F. is appearing at a number of them.

This month's Publicity Zone for Radio H.F. will feature some news on a few new products, plus we have some additional updates on the FRS radios which are becoming this summer's hot item.

Now, on to this month's material. Thank you to all our contributors. Any comments which you may have about the Newsletter are always appreciated.

All subscribers' e-mail addresses are kept private and confidential. To add or remove yourself from the distribution list of this newsletter, simply contact Sheldon by e-mail at ve2shw@yahoo.com.
