Introduction

Disclaimer: The content and comments included in the websites featured in this newsletter are those of the individuals, groups or organizations responsible for each website. They do not necessarily represent those of the editor, unless specifically noted.

Welcome to volume 2 number 5 of the Radio H.F. Internet Newsletter. I would also like to remind everyone that all previous issues of this newsletter can be found at www.anarc.org/cidx/radiohf/index.html [right here! -- Ed.].

I hope all of you survived The Love Bug Internet virus. Fortunately I heard about it in advance and only received one e-mail containing the virus. I promptly deleted it and it was business as usual. Unfortunately thousands of people worldwide were not so lucky.

We welcome another group of new subscribers to the Newsletter this month, including our first subscribers from Russia and Bangladesh. We also have a few first time contributors this month. Please feel free to send along some of your favourite sites to share with other subscribers. Having your name on the contributors' list entitles you to a 2% discount on your next Radio H.F. purchase, so why not send along a website or two that you think our readers would enjoy.

The hamfest/fleamarket list in the Publicity Zone has been updated. Check for an event near you. Radio H.F. is appearing at a number of them.

This month's Publicity Zone for Radio H.F. has a feature on Family Radio Service (FRS), which is now approved for use in Canada. Radio H.F. has a large selection of these popular, affordable radios.

Special note: Radio H.F. will be moving to a new location sometime during the month of May 2000. Subscribers will receive a special e-mail notice with all the details as soon as they are finalized. This website will also post the information as soon as possible.

Now, on to this month's material. Thank you to all our contributors. Please feel free to send in your comments about the Newsletter.

All subscribers' e-mail addresses are kept private and confidential. To add or remove yourself from the distribution list of this newsletter, simply contact Sheldon by e-mail at ve2shw@yahoo.com.
