As we head into the autumn of 1999, we begin to think of indoor activities. Radio and the Internet both fall into the indoor category. With more of you spending more time at the radio or at the computer, the information in this Newsletter should be even more useful to you. The leading name in portable shortwave radio equipment and technology today is Sony. Grundig and Sangean have produced numerous shortwave radio models over the years, but few, if any, have been able to match the performance and quality of Sony. Two models in particular are the standards which all other competitors are measured against: the ICF-SW7600G, and the old workhorse, the ICF-2010.
The ICF-2010 has been on the market for about 15 years, and is probably the most popular portable shortwave radio in the world known for its unique design, high quality and excellent performance.

CIDX is Canada's national radio monitoring club, serving radio hobbyists since 1962. Our monthly newsletter, Messenger, covers all aspects of the radio monitoring hobby.
