Please send along any material for the newsletter to: hfnewsletter@yahoo.com Welcome to the May 2003 edition. It seems that things are moving in a more positive direction with the Allied troops making short work of the Iraqi army. We can only hope that some sort of stability comes to the area quickly and that life can begin to return to normal for the people of the region. Let us hope that tensions in other areas of the planet do not materialize into major conflicts in the weeks and months ahead. There is some big news at Radio H.F. to report this month. I have recently acquired access to an extensive catalog of nature related publications. As a result, the Radio H.F. Nature Division is now officially in operation. Look for complete details of the books available in the third "Radio H.F. Publicity Zone" in this Newsletter. This month's "Special Zone" will feature Mother's Day (May 11) and Memorial Day (May 26) THE MONTHLY SURVEY Last month's survey question was a simple and straight-forward one. What is your all-time favourite movie? Still, with such an easy question, and one that practically everyone should have had an answer for, we received on 33 responses. To top it all off, we received 32 different answers. In other words, the title of only one movie came up more than once. That movie was "Gone with the Wind". There were many other classic films mentioned, including Ben Hur, The Godfather, Casablanca, The Third Man, American Graffiti, Dracula, Braveheart, to name just a few. Thank you to all who participated. THIS MONTH'S SURVEY Perhaps what I should be asking this month is whether or not we should continue the monthly survey. With as simple a question as we had last month, and with over 1200 subscribers receiving the Newsletter, to have only 33 responses brings up a lot of questions as to the relevance of the survey. We'll give it one more try this month and then make the call. Let's focus on transportation this time. If money were no object, which specific vehicle would you own? Would it be a luxury car, SUV, sports car, monster truck, vintage collectors' item...? Let us know. Please send your response, by e-mail, to hfnewsletter@yahoo.com CONTENTS THE COMMENTS ZONE THE CONTRIBUTORS ZONE THE MONTHLY SPECIAL ZONE THE RADIO ZONE THE GENERAL ZONE THE FUN & SERVICES ZONE THE HAMFEST/FLEAMARKET AND SPECIAL EVENTS ZONE THE RESOURCES ZONE THE COMMENTS ZONE KEVIN BLANCHARD, Athens, Ontario: First things first I would like to thank you for the Newsletter.
